haha!! i think the question is not whether got gf or no gf better.. i think it's how much you understand your gf.. really, i SERIOUSLY cannot understand why did your friend bought paper flowers??? i'm against artificial flowers (unless you made them yourself)... ok, maybe it's just me.. but, yeah, FRESH flowers, preferably her favourite flower, or red roses... chocolates are okay too if she likes them.. but don't get those cheap chocolates lar.. any girl would appreciate that!

and the presentation is all wrong..

and the pendent,.. your friend can try shopping with her before selecting one.. or just select something which is generally acceptable... eg anything with diamonds as a general rule, haha... or something with emotional significant or value.. you can crap something like you read in the magazine somewhere that this pendant will bring happiness to the bearer or something...

choosing the perfect gift for valentine, i must admit, it one of the toughest task ever! haha!!

seems like your friend's relationship with the girl ain't heading anywhere lor. kesiannya, all the effort kena 'thrown cold water' by the girl.

Depends. When I got a gf I wish I had no gf. When I have no gf I wish I had a gf. Haha! Grass is always greener on the other side.

Seriously, everyone knows that girls like fresh flowers, that is- fresh roses. he can be forgiven if he folded them himself, but buying paper flowers? I'll be laughing my heads out.XP

Celyn: LOL ... I agreed with you to an extend. But, I guess the bottom line is no matter what, they both still love each others ma. I guess that is the most important right? ♥

Ashley: I don't know bout em' ... We shall see :P

Huai Bin: I wish I have a GF. I don't like the feeling of being single. I want to love and be love :P ♥

In my opinion, the question is not whether to have a gf or not is better. Neither is understanding your gf (I know it's very important too).

But, what is most important is that your friend tried. And that is all that matters.

His gf is not very understanding after all. Even if she doesn't like it, she should have shown some appreciation. No wonder your friend felt a little down.

Btw, I don't have a gf currently and I want one :)

well, I'm an XY, so I'll give from a guy's point of view:
1. Why buy paper roses? Paper roses are only worth it if u fold it urself. and make sure it's nice and not crumpled up.
2. If u wanna buy, rather buy a few quality roses than a bouquet of cheap roses. Cost the same...:P
3. From the chat, it seems ur fren's gf is not into roses, either she likes other flowers or she doesn't like any, which ur fren dun understand her taste.
4. Pendant ah? Get one as shiny as possible, diamonds better, but shiny cut glass will do just fine. Get one with a design that suits her liking, or with minimalist desigbn. Getting a design with skulls and demons is just not into it, so does those with just hearts and stars, unless the gf has been known to like it so much.

5. the last possibility of her doing that to ur net fren -
PMS!!!!

:P

You see, PMS can make the mood very bad, ya know!

The question, 'got gf or no gf better leh?', well, I believe both situation bring good and bad and each teach important lesson to one's life. So, treasure every moment as there is something bigger coming to our way.. :)

*shakes head* who knows the gf says that because she's not in a good mood or she's afraid that she'll be embarrassed when her friends ask her bout her V-day prezzie...

if your friend wanna give his gf a paper flower, he should do it on the spot for her. who knows she might be touched til she cries? *winks

obviously during courtship everything is romantic and sweet. even plain water taste so sweet but after a while the feelings will change. the excitements will die down. so have to put in more effort to spark things up
